1. Do you like bleu cheese? That’s a very strong-flavored cheese, so it isn’t one you can just bite into. It’s good in small pieces with sweet accompaniments – wine or fruit. For my less classy moments, I loves me some spicy wings dipped in bleu cheese dressing.

2. Have you ever smoked? I tried one when I was 16 because all my friends smoked, which I know is a lame reason, and because I’d been drinking beer, which adds to the lameness. Luckily, I thought my lungs were going to spontaneously combust, and I never did that again. Also, for what it’s worth, it was a few more years until I drank alcohol again because i decided that wasn’t all it was cracked up to be either.

3. Do you own a gun? Nope. Never will. Don’t like them, don’t see a point to them unless you’re stranded in the mountains with nothing to eat, and that’s not a predicament in which I plan to find myself. I know, I fail at being a Texan.

4. Favorite type of Food? Type… what does that mean exactly? Whatever it means, I’m not sure I can pick a single type. Does diet soda count?

5. Favorite type of music? Mostly alternative, although that label has been watered down and now seems to apply to everything under the sun. For the most part, I love music from the 70’s, 80’s and early 90’s. It depends though because I enjoy a fairly wide range of music, but by the same token, I can be kind of particular.

6. What do you think of hot dogs? I eat chicken or turkey dogs a few times a month maybe.

7. Favorite Christmas movie? Love Actually

8. What do you prefer to drink in the morning? Diet soda (like you had to ask…)

9. Can you do push ups? Umm, I don’t know.

10. What’s your favorite piece of jewelry? My wedding and engagement rings.

11. Favorite hobby? Blogging and social networking, and making artsy stuff.

12. Do you have A. D. D.? Not that I’ve been diagnosed, but I have a friend with it, and when she described how she gets when she doesn’t take meds, it sounded oddly like I am all of the time, which I found a little concerning.

13. Do you wear glasses/contacts? I usually wear glasses to drive and other things that require I be able to see at a distance, but I have contacts. I prefer contacts, but when I wear them , I need reading glasses, so they seem to defeat the purpose because no matter what, I end up wearing glasses.

14. Middle name? Ugh, technically it’s Ann, but I don’t like being called Lee because it’s sexually ambiguous which always reminds me of Pat from Saturday Night Live. Want to see me get snippy? Come around when the mail arrives, and see how much I love getting mail addressed to Mr. Lee Thill, or wait until I get phone calls for Mr. Lee Thill. I know no one sets out to annoy me by doing that, but it bugs the %@$# out of me, regardless.

15. Name 3 thoughts at this exact moment: I need to get to the cleaners to pick up the dresses I had hemmed. I needed to decide which of the dresses I’m going to wear to the wedding. I need to get crickets for Dexter after I go to the cleaners.

16. Name 3 drinks you regularly drink: Fresca, Diet Coke, Pepsi One when there’s no Diet Coke.

17. Current worry? I would like some art therapy clients.

18. Current hate right now? I hate that I have to worry so much about health care.

19. Favorite place to be? Normally, I’m happy to be at home, but I sure would like a tropical vacation.

20. How did you bring in the new year? John & Robin’s with our other childfree friends.

21. Someplace you’d like to go? An all-inclusive adults-only resort on a tropical island.

22. Name three people who will complete this. Why is this question always part of these things? I don’t know. Whoever else is feeling as uninspired as me probably.

23. Do you own slippers? I most certainly do! I try to always have something on my feet while in the house to keep diabetic karma on my side.

24. What color shirt are you wearing? Brown fleece because I was cold in just my green “I love nerds” t-shirt.

25. Do you like sleeping on satin sheets? I don’t think I ever have. They seem too slippery, and not especially warm though… or maybe they don’t breathe so they’d be too warm? I’m happy with cotton sheets.

26. Can you whistle? Yup.

27. Where are you now? The sofa! Where else??

28. Would you be a pirate? Well, if you mean a real pirate, I’m pretty sure they thought nothing of raping their women, so I’ll pass. If you mean for Halloween, sure, except no one I know ever has costume parties so we never get dressed up.

29. What songs do you sing in the shower? If I sing, I make up silly songs. I used to make up silly songs about Smeagol, so I guess I haven’t sung in the shower since Smeagol died. I miss him

30. Favorite Girl’s Name? Violet, although that psychotic harlot on Melrose Place is named Violet so that might ruin it for me.

31. Favorite boy’s name? Ian, or Oliver.

32. What is in your pocket right now? I don’t have any pockets. If I had them though, it would likely be used peppermint wrappers, a used tissue, and/or lint.

33. Last thing that made you laugh? Jason.

34. What vehicle do you drive? I have a little Kia. I’ve had it for 6 years, and it’s only approaching 28K miles. I want a new car, but I need to work on bringing in some income first.

35. Worst injury you’ve ever had? I fell sideways in the shower, landed on the side of the tub, and cracked a couple ribs. Broken ribs = most pain ever. I was stuck at home for two weeks, and just breathing was excruciatingly painful.

36. Do you love where you live? No. I want to get the heck out of Jersey. In many respects, it’s fine, but the property taxes are out-of-control, and NJ doesn’t license art therapists which is just stupid.

37. How many TVs do you have in your house? 3 – 1 in the living room, 1 in the office, 1 in the bedroom. I think we have a couple in the basement that still work, but aren’t being used.

38. How many computers do you have in your house? That depends. Jason has his regular desktop PC. I had a regualr desktop PC too, but my motherboard died a couple of months ago, so I’m only using my new laptop now. Jason also has a laptop he uses. We each have an old laptop that technically work, but they’re both intolerably slow. Then we have an undetermined number of PC parts in the basement from various old computers, and parts Jason has otherwise acquired. I’m not sure if there are enough working parts to build another computer though.

39. If you changed your job, what would it be? I would just be a full-time artist.

40. If you were granted three wishes, what would they be? Unlimited lifetime tropical vacations. Unlimited higher education. My career to have advanced a little more quickly so I‘d have my own studio office with actual clients.
